Mai multe exchange-uri au suspendat operatiunile cu token-uri ERC-20 din cauza unui bug
Exchange-ul de criptomonede Poloniex a suspendat toate operatiunile de depunere si retragere de token-uri ERC-20 (bazate pe Ethereum), iar HitBTC a initiat o inspectie interna care verifica transferurile offline, in urma deciziei OKEX de a opri depozitele ERC-20 dupa descoperirea unui bug numit BatchOverFlow.

Multe alte exchange-uri ca Changelly si QUOINE au decis sa opreasca tranzactiile de token-uri ERC-20.
Pe 23 aprilie, utilizatorul Medium ranimes a postat un articol intitulat, “New batchOverflow Bug in Multiple ERC20 Smart Contracts,” explicand cum “o vulnerabilitate in contractele inteligente necunoscuta anterior” poate permite “unui atacator sa detina o cantitate semnificativa de token-uri exploatand aceste contracte vulnerabile,” putand fi astfel manipulate si preturile.
